How to Apply
To apply for Entrance Examination, the eligible candidate may choose any one of the following options:

1. PURCHASING APPLICATION FORM:
Eligible candidates can buy the application form on payment of Rs. 550/- at the major Post Office and Indian Bank Branches, throughout India. (The list of Post offices and Indian Bank Branches are available  in the University Website). Filled in applications should be sent to Registrar, Sathyabama University, Jeppiaar Nagar, Rajiv Gandhi Salai, Chennai 600119 on or before 28th March, 2012.

APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AFTER THE DUE DATE WILL BE SUMMARILY REJECTED

2. ONLINE APPLICATION:
Student can also use online application available at www.sathyabamauniversity.ac.in.
Students opting for online application should fill in the application, and should verify all the details entered. After the verification of the details, payment of Rs. 550/- should be made either by using Net Banking Facility/Credit Cards (VISA only)/Debit Cards (VISA only) or by challan payment at any one of the Indian Bank branches.
APPLICATIONS WITHOUT FEE PAYMENT WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR WRITING ENTRANCE EXAMINATION.

BITS Admissions 2012


Interested candidates should register their names for BITSAT-2012 by applying in the prescribed application form online. Complete the application form online at http://www.bitsadmission.com and pay the prescribed fees. Also take the print out of the filled form for your future reference. If you make payment by Demand draft then a copy of the completed application form along with the prescribed fees of Rs. 1700/- (Rs. 1200/- for female candidates) should be sent to Admissions Officer, BITS, Pilani – 333 031. If you are using a payment mode other than DD then the prescribed fee for BITSAT 2012 is Rs. 1600/-(Rs. 1100/- for female candidates).

If a candidate chooses Dubai as a test center the application fee for both male and female candidates will be same and will be US $ 50 (or Indian Rs. 2500/- ). Details for payment of fees are available at the website while applying online. Deadline to apply for BITSAT-2012 online along with the fee payment is 15th February 2012. If you are using DD as the mode of payment then the DD along with a copy of application form must reach Admissions Office, BITS Pilani by 5.00 PM on 15st February 2012.

Those who register for the test and reserve test dates have to download the ‘Hall ticket’, along with instructions, from BITS website as per the schedule given earlier. The tests will be conducted during 10th May – 9th June 2012.

Procedurefor Applying for admission:
In addition to applying and appearing for BITSAT-2012, candidates have to also apply for admission to BITS giving details of their 12th marks and preferences to different degree programmers offered. The prescribed application form for admission, the detailed application procedure and the final list of Degree programmers offered will be available at the BITS website, by 19th May 2012. The completed form with the required application fee has to be submitted so as to reach the under-mentioned on or before 5.00 PM on 30th June 2012.

Pondicherry University Opens MBA Admissions - 2012

Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (in the year 2012) or any equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany and Zoology) and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination. In respect of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Schedules Tribes and Other Backward Classes the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in qualifying examination can be 40% instead of 50% for General Candidates. For PH candidates qualifying examination marks is 45% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together.
As per MCI & DCI guidelines candidates have to secure at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test. For SC / ST / OBC candidates the limit is minimum of 40% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test. For PH candidates the limit is minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology) taken together in the entrance test. All candidates must pass in English.
Age Limit: The lower age limit is 17 year and the upper age limit is 25 year as on 31.12.2012. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates belonging to SC and ST category only.

c) B. Pharm
Pass or appearing at 10+2 examination (in the year 2012) with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Biology / Information Technology, by securing atleast 45% marks taken together in the subject mentioned (40% incase of candidates belonging to SC / ST / OBC category) OR

For Integrated Ph.D Programme in Physical Sciences: B.Sc with First Class/ Division with Honours/ Majors in Physics with mathematics as one of the subjects.

For Ph.D Programme in Physical, Chemical & Biological Sciences: M.Sc with First Class/Division in Physics, Chemistry & Biology and/or its interdisciplinary branches with Mathematics as one of the subjects.

Fellowship

For Integrated Ph.D Programme in Physical Sciences: Rs 12,000 per month during the first two years of the programme. Thereafter, upon meeting the eligibility criteria, the students will be inducted as JRF and will be paid Rs. 16000/- per month.

For For Ph.D Programme in Physical, Chemical & Biological Sciences: In line with the current rules Rs 16,000 per month for the first two years as a JRF. Thereafter, upon meeting the eligibility criteria of the Centre, the students will be inducted as SRF with a monthly stipend of Rs. 18000/- .
Selection Procedure: A written test (BOSE TEST 2012) will be conducted by SNBNCBS on Sunday, the 4th March 2012 at different Centres throughout the Country and the successful candidates will be considered for interview.
