JNU Admissions 2012-13 to begin on February 6

New Delhi: The prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has announced its admission process for the 2012-13 academic session. It is for the first time that the varsity has introduced an online application process and the sale and submission of application forms, both online and offline will start from February 6, 2012. Entrance examinations will be conducted by the University for admission to various programmes, including Combined Biotechnology Entrance Examination on behalf of participating universities in 52 cities across India and in Kathmandu on May 22, 23, 24 and 25. Poonam Kudaisya, JNU PRO said that the online application process starts from 10am on February 6 and candidates can apply online by logging on to JNU website www.jnu.ac.in or www.jnuonline.in. The website also offers the details of application and entrance examination fee and hence will remain open from 10:00 AM (IST) on 6th February, 2012 till 5:00 PM (IST) on 21st March, 2012. Students also have the facility to make online payment, she added. Candidates without internet access can obtain a set of application form and prospectus through post by sending a crossed Bank Draft for Rs.300/- drawn in favour of Jawaharlal Nehru University payable at New Delhi. A self addressed (unstamped) envelope of the minimum size of 30 cms x 25 cms should also be send along with the draft by clearly indicating the programme of study for which the application form is required to the Section Officer (Admissions), Room No.28, Administrative Block, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi 110067.
