Eligibility

For Integrated Ph.D Programme in Physical Sciences: B.Sc with First Class/ Division with Honours/ Majors in Physics with mathematics as one of the subjects.

For Ph.D Programme in Physical, Chemical & Biological Sciences: M.Sc with First Class/Division in Physics, Chemistry & Biology and/or its interdisciplinary branches with Mathematics as one of the subjects.

Note

Fellowship

For Integrated Ph.D Programme in Physical Sciences: Rs 12,000 per month during the first two years of the programme. Thereafter, upon meeting the eligibility criteria, the students will be inducted as JRF and will be paid Rs. 16000/- per month.

For For Ph.D Programme in Physical, Chemical & Biological Sciences: In line with the current rules Rs 16,000 per month for the first two years as a JRF. Thereafter, upon meeting the eligibility criteria of the Centre, the students will be inducted as SRF with a monthly stipend of Rs. 18000/- .
Selection Procedure: A written test (BOSE TEST 2012) will be conducted by SNBNCBS on Sunday, the 4th March 2012 at different Centres throughout the Country and the successful candidates will be considered for interview.
